SAINT-GOBAIN, ACOUSTIC BOARDS COMPETENCE CENTER
In 2017 Saint-Gobain established a completely new Acoustic Boards Competence Center. The center is located in Billesholm and is integrated to the Nordic R&D, but with an international scope. The vision is to be recognized within the Insulation and Ceilings activities as the global reference for innovation and technical expertise on sustainable mineral wool acoustic panels.
The work within the Competence Center will be focused on developing innovative and sustainable products and reinforcing technical knowledge on acoustic panels (ceilings and walls).
We are now expanding and can offer an opportunity to be part of the very creation of the center.
THE ROLE
As development technician you will lead lab test and support development projects. You will work with the development of methods to characterize glasswool boards properties in coordination with R&D, Production and Customer.
The Competence Center aims at developing new products and characterization methods. In this regard, the position will:
* Build, install or develop mechanical or chemical tests benches
* Use climatic chambers for accelerated ageing tests
* Perform mechanical tests on products
* Produce test reports
* Be proactive towards project leaders’ requests
* Organize and follow trials
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are looking for candidates with experience from a similar position. A bachelor’s degree within Physics/Mechanics/Quality/Building or working experience equivalent to this is required.
Ideally you will have experience and knowledge as follows:
* 3-5 years experience working in R&D, product design or quality
* Rigor and analytical capacities
* Ability to conclude and summarize in test reports
* Ability to work in a team
* Ability to work in autonomy
Fluency in oral and written English and one of the Nordic languages is mandatory.
